Saintted is a Lagos-based recording artist and producer whose love for music started when he was a child. He grew up listening to Hip-Hop, Pop and Afrobeats, with influences from neighbors and older siblings. At 7, he got inspired by his older sister to begin singing, and that early exposure to a wide range of sound shaped his ear from the beginning.

He taught himself how to play the drums at a very young age, which is where his sense of rhythm and his appreciation for a well-built beat really started. In high school, he taught himself to play the piano often hiding away in the school’s music room, sometimes playing in church. In 2018, an older friend introduced him to music production, and by 2022 he was making his own beats in Bandlab. That was the start of his output under the name “mothesaintt”. As he grew, so did the name, and he became “saintted”, a shift that marked real change in who he was as an artist.

His music draws from a deep interest in faith, philosophy, culture, and from a personal conviction toward kindness and idealism. Nigerian heritage runs through his work as well, sitting alongside a pull toward bold, boundary-pushing visual worlds with heavy influences from Kanye West, Rosalía, Rihanna, Jon Bellion, and Frank Ocean. Saintted makes music with a visionary spirit, aiming past conventional boundaries and toward sounds that feel ethereal, an experience built to reflect his own vision rather than fit a mold.
